Gainful Employment and Career Information
This program prepares students for employment in entry-level positions in the industrial distributions and manufacturing industry. Industrial distribution includes electrical, wholesale, plumbing, plastic, HVAC and other product distribution program content includes:
- Distribution operations and procedures
- Marketing and economics
- sales techniques
- computer programs
- business math
- business reports and correspondence
- inventory control operations
- Human relations
The course includes a three-week internship to learn valuable skills in the field. Students will develop technical knowledge and skills to prepare for careers and further education in marketing sales and service.
Courses offered will qualify individuals for the following positions:- Customer Service Specialist
- Billing Clerk
- Stock Clerk
- Sales Representative (Wholesale & Manufacturing)
