Length: 7 months (650 Clock Hours) 

Schedule: Monday - Friday;  8:00 AM - 2:00PM 

Estimated Cost for FL Resident: (Tuition, books, & fees) $2,400

Basic Skill Levels: TABE Test Scores: 9th grade in Reading, 9th grade in Math, and 9th grade in Language




  • Student must pass a Background Test and a Drug Test
  • Student be able to lift 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Pass a basic physical and obtain required immunizations
  • 18 years old to enter program
  • Student must be a high school graduate or have a GED


Course Overview


This program is designed to prepare an individual  to receive, decontaminate, clean, prepare, disinfect and sterilize reusable items. The student will demonstrate the use of sterilization process monitors, chemical indicators and bacterial spore tests that assist to control infections.




The curriculum is designed to prepare the seek employment  as a Medical Equipment Preparer in Central Supply or Sterile Processing in various healthcare arenas:


  • Hospitals
  • Ambulatory Surgical Centers
  • Gastrointestinal  Endoscopy Labs
  • Medical Offices
  • Materials Management
  • Inventory Technicians


 Students will be prepared to take an approved state and nationally recognized industry certification.


Entry Level Salary in Florida:
Per hour: $13.40
Annually: $27,860.00
