ADMISSIONS AND REGISTRATION MAY BE OBTAINED IN STUDENT SERVICES FOR ALL OF BREWSTER'S PROGRAMS.
Technical Programs
- The admissions test (TABE Survey) is administered as part of the application process.
- The TABE Survey is given (Summer schedule) every Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. and Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m. to provide guidance related to an applicant's educational needs.
- Following the admissions test, applicants are assigned to a program advisor/counselor and a mandatory orientation/registration session is scheduled before the student's enrollment date.
ABE/GED/ESOL Programs
- Placement into Adult ABE/GED programs is based on performance and skill level on the TABE test. Applicants must TABE prior to registration to ensure proper placement.
- ABE/GED applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Placement into Adult ESOL classes is based on performance and skill level on the CASAS test to determine language proficiency. The CASAS is a pre-entry requirement and is administered at different times throughout the school year.
- Following the admissions test, applicants are assigned to a specific program and/or level based upon test scores.
Credit/High School Diploma Program
- Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
- Applicants formerly enrolled in Hillsborough County
School(s), if enrolled within the last year must provide official proof of withdrawal from high school. A registration form will then be completed. - Applicants are not officially enrolled until attendance in the first class session
- Students must pay for books
- Applicants under age 16 seeking attendance, must provide a letter of approval from the Adult Special Placement Committee before registration.
